DRPN Soul aka Kalkidan Assefa is an Ethiopian-born Artist + Muralist + Art-Based Educator currently residing as a guest on Unceded Anishinabewaki Omàmìwininìwag Land.

With a background in Fine Arts and a foundation in hip hop spanning back to the late 1990's, DRPN Soul has successfully blended elements of street and studio into a professional arts practice for over a decade.​

As an Art-Based Educator, DRPN Soul facilitates learning using an approach that centers collaboration, local partnership, and co-creation which he's developed over years of working with different communities across Turtle Island.

Always striving to learn and grow as both an artist and human being, DRPN SOUL embodies an ethos of continually pushing forward technical abilities while remaining true to his passion for amplifying voices through street art.

 

By re-imagining spaces through site-specific murals, he hopes to make art accessible to a wider variety of clients and communities while leaving a mark both locally and abroad.
